Dr. Beyruin earned his B.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Geneva and completed his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics at ETH Zurich. His doctoral research centered on the development of sustained-release drug delivery systems, which have since influenced modern pharmaceutical practices. Following his doctoral studies, he conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Toronto, where he worked on nanotechnology-based drug delivery methods for oncology treatments. Since joining the University of Bern in 2010, Dr. Beyruin has been at the forefront of pharmaceutical research, with interests in personalized medicine, biodegradable drug carriers, and the interface of artificial intelligence in drug development. Dr. Beyruin is a passionate educator, teaching courses on pharmaceutical technology, regulatory pathways, and biopharmaceutics.
