The Role of Gravitational Waves in Understanding the Universe's Formation
Author(s): Sunny Labh*
This paper examines the transformative role of gravitational waves in elucidating the mysteries surrounding the
universe’s formation. Gravitational waves, predicted by Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity and recently
observed by the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO) and Virgo collaborations, carry
unaltered information from the very instant of their emission, enabling us to probe the universe’s earliest
moments with unprecedented clarity. We review the theoretical underpinnings of gravitational waves, their
detection methodologies, and their significant role in expanding our knowledge of the early universe.
In particular, we delve into the prospective detection of primordial gravitational waves-ripples in space-time
produced by the rapid expansion of the universe immediately following the Big Bang and their poten.. View More»
