    Magnitude and Adverse Anaesthesia Outcome of Co-Morbid Illnesses in Elective Surgical Patients

    Introduction: Medical comorbidities are diseases unrelated to the causality of the primary surgical finding. Detecting and stabilizing patients with comorbid illness in the preanesthetic evaluation clinic is an essential for reducing perioperative morbidity and mortality. The aim of this study was to determine the magnitude of comorbid illness and their adverse anesthesia outcomes in patients scheduled for elective surgery. Method: A hospital-based cross-sectional study design was applied to a total of 300 adult patients who were scheduled for elective surgery and visited the preanesthetic clinic from November 2019 to February 2020 G.C.
