Dental Medicine and Oral medicine is also known as Dentistry. It is a division of medicine that covers the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, illnesses, and conditions of the oral cavity, generally in the dentition but also the oral mucosa, and of neighboring and connected structures and tissues, mainly in the maxillofacial (jaw and facial) part.
