Prevalence Low Back Pain in Security Personnel in Vidarbha Region of Maharashtra, India: A Cross Sectional Study

Introduction: Low Back Pain (LBP) is a frequent complaint among security personnel. It is a multifaceted and
dynamic phenomenon. Up to 80% of people will experience low back pain at any point during their productive lives.
Low back pain causes some weakness in those who are symptomatic.
Purpose: LBP is linked to injury and the inability to work. It is the most functional disability nowadays. The
population of low back pain patients is increasing daily, leading to an economic and physical imbalance in the
Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, where a large population is disabled because of low back pain.
Methods: The sample involved 66 security staff who met the following criteria: they were between the ages of 18 and
