    Background: A review was conducted on the anti-SARS-CoV-2 virus (SARS-CoV-2) resistance of Chinese herbal medicine monomers or active ingredients to provide a basis for elucidating the anti-SARS-CoV-2 virus mechanism of Chinese medicine from the perspective of material basis. Method: Literature research was used to summarize the application of herbal monomers or active ingredients in the antagonism of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and analyze the problems. Discussion: A variety of herbal monomers or active ingredients were found to have antagonistic effects against the SARS-CoV-2 virus, and on this basis, a strategy for the discovery of active compounds against the SARS-CoV-2 virus was proposed.
