Associate Professor, Head of Department of Reproductive Biotechnology, Avicenna Research Institute
ACECR, Iran
I am graduated from University of Tehran at 1989 (DVM). At about 7 years I was busy as a veterinary practitioner and then I started my study as a PhD student (Obstetrics and Reproductive Diseases). During my study I elected as a top student during both under and post graduate studies. After my first sabbatical in Dept. of Farm Animal, University of Utrecht, I interested to continue my research in the field of reproductive biotechnology. Therefore, after lots of efforts I founded a research institute in Shahrekord University in Iran. I established the relevant protocols for in vitro production of farm animal embryos and animal cloning in our institute. Presently, I am busy with many projects such as “production of knockout mouse; targeted deletion of the Rag1 and Rag2 genes” and ‘long term culture of goat spermatogonial stem cells” and collaborate with two research institutes. Meanwhile, I cooperate as an associate editor and editorial board of 3 journals and as a reviewer of 6 international journals.
