Alex Chang ZOU, is a qualified physician and treated both emergency and in-hospital patients with surgical disorders as in Dong Rui Hospital, Nanjing, China. He is presently working as Deputy Director in Clinical Research Centre. His previous research work includes: 1. Selection and validation of esophageal cancer cell targeting phage-displayed peptides. 2. Dose-effect curve study and new applications development of human recombinant endostatin. 3. Preclinical study of an anti-VEGF monoclonal antibody drug. Functional study of estrogen-related receptor alpha in prostate cancer. 4. Estrogen-related receptor alpha in Castration-Resistance Prostate Cancer. He also provided an original idea and prepared preliminary data for the grant applying and found that ERRï¡ overexpression in prostate cancer contribute to its Bicalutamide-resistance and androgen independent growth both in vitro and in vivo.
Molecular cloning techniques; protein-protein interaction analysis: Co-IP, FRET, phage-displayed peptide library screening and identification (in vivo and in vitro); tumor angiogenesis analysis (in vitro and in vivo); histology techniques (slices and IHC); tissue culturing; construction and identification of sub-cell line by both transfection and infection; polyclonal antibody production in rabbit and purification, animal handling: tumor xenograft model constructing in mice subcutaneously and orthotopic, drug administration in mice by garage, i.p. and i.v. by tail vein.
