Biography

Dr. Alexander Birbrair isAffiliated Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences. He is adjunct professor of the Pathology Department of the Biological Sciences Institute of the Federal University of Minas Gerais. He holds a bachelor's degree in Biomedicine from the Santa Cruz State University (UESC) (2005-2009), a PhD in Neuroscience from Wake Forest University, North Carolina, United States (2010-2014) and a postdoctoral fellow in Cell Biology from the Albert Einstein School of Medicine in New York, United States (2014-2016). Has experience in the area of ​​Biology and Molecular Genetics, Pharmacology, Physiology, Pathology, Biotechnology and Cell Biology. Currently, the key word in my laboratory is tissue microenvironment. We attempted to uncover the function of each cellular component in tissues under various physiological and pathological conditions
