Dr. Alexander Stoyanov received his PhD in 1993 from the Institute of Physical Chemistry, Russian Acad. Sci. Alexander Stoyanov is a recipient of a number of scientific awards and fellowships, including Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS), UNIDO/ICGEB and Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Currently, Dr. Stoyanov is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Pathology and Anatomical Sciences, University of Missouri.
Research interests are primarily related to the theory of separation science and method development in the areas of electrophoresis, electrokinetic separations and chromatography. Ion –exchange chromatography, normal/reversed phase chromatography. Zone electrophoresis, isoelectric focusing, capillary electrophoresis. Acid-base equilibria in non-aqueous media. LC-MS clinical chemistry applications (proteins and low molecular weight compounds).
