Biography

I did PhD in yeast Molecular biology from Jadavpur University (Bose Institute), Kolkata, India. My postdoctoral studies comprised on genetics of left-right asymmetry in human in CRBM, France and Geneva University of Medical School in Switzerland with Prof P. Bouvagnet and Prof. Stylianos E. Antonarakis respectively. Then I moved to USA and worked on genetics and drug discovery in ovarian and lung cancer in University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston with Prof. S. Mitra. Now I am a senior research scientist at OMRF, Oklahoma city and continue to work on genetics and drug discovery of autoimmune diseases, cancer and cardiovascular diseases. Multidrug resistance in cancer is a overwhelming problem in cancer and I developed a novel strategy to overcome drug resistance in cancer.

Research Interest

Population genetics, Genomics, System biology, Molecular biology of disease mechanism and drug development of autoimmune diseases, Cancer and Cardiovascular diseases.
