Dr. Amy Wang is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the Long Island University and a Clincial Pharmacy Specialist in Cardiology at the New York Methodist Hospital. She graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2006 with degrees of Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Business Administration. She worked as a staff pharmacist after graduation at the Cleveland Clinic, in Cleveland, Ohio. Her Post-Graduate Year One Pharmacy Practice residency was completed at the St. John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Her Post-Graduate Year Two Critical Care residency was completed at the New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Amy Wang took an Assistant Professor position at the Long Island University in 2009, and was BCPS certified in 2010. At New York Methodist Hospital, she attends daily clinical rounds with the Cardiology Team and precepts Pharmacy Residents and Pharmacy Students. Her research interests include anticoagulation, cardiology, and critical care.
My research interests include comparing efficacy and safety of antiplatelets for acute coronary syndrome, comparing efficacy of magnesium and Class III antiarrhythmic therapy versus antiarrhythmics alone for atrial fibrillation, and efficacy of digoxin for pulmonary arterial hypertension.
