Dr. ANAND KUMAR MAURYA is working as Senior Resident in the Department of Microbiology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jodhpur, giving routine laboratory diagnosis of (Mycobacteriology, Bacteriology and Parasitology) and Lecture/Practical Demonstration of M.B.B.S and B.Sc Nursing students. He has been awarded with many awards and grants such as Keystone Global Heath Travel Award from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Global Health Travel Award, Silverthorne, Colorado, USA for Keystone Symposium, ESM Travel Grant from European Society of Mycobacteriology, Germany for 34th Annual Congress of European Society of Mycobacteriology, Wellcome Trust Bursary award from Wellcome Trust, UK for Wellcome Trust Advance Course “Genomic and Clinical Microbiology” Cambridge, UK and many other.
His research interests include Phylogenetic and phylogeografic analysis of multi-drug resistant tuberculosis, Nontuberculous Mycobacteria infections among pulmonary tuberculosis and extra-pulmonary tuberculosis cases, Rapid molecular diagnosis of MDR / XDR-TB and Clinical mycobacteriology.
