Biography

András Szabó is an animal breeding scientist, graduated at the Kaposvár University, Faculty of Animal Science, Hungary, in 2000. His Ph.D. (2004) dealt with the environmental effects on the membrane lipid composition of rabbits. Since 2004 he leads a lipid laboratory analysing storage and structural lipids and dealing as well with blood clinical chemistry. Species involved in his studies cover most of the domesticated vertebrates. The number of scientific papers published by him exceeds 100, and the cumulative impact factor of them exceeds 40. He teaches mostly lipid oriented courses to BSc, MSc and PhD students and is currently a supervisor of 2 PhD students. He is employed by the Kaposvár University, Faculty of Animal Scinence, Hungary since 2003, currently as a senior researcher, and is a member of a research group of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
