Biography

Andrew J Bauer, M.D., FAAP is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Uniformed Services University and University of Pennsylvania (adjunct). He serves as program director of the National Capital Consortium pediatric endocrinology fellowship program at the Uniformed Services University (MD) and as senior consultant for The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Thyroid Center (PA). He has authored over 35 original articles, chapters, and reviews and is an invited reviewer for multiple peer-reviewed journals.

Research Interest

Study of pediatric thyroid nodular disease and thyroid cancer, with a basic science interest exploring the mechanisms of invasion and metastasis.
