Dr. Andrii Gryganskyi received his PhD in the field of biology in 1995. He accepted Research Scientist position in the Department of Biology, Duke University from 2010.
Dr. Andrii Gryganskyi research focuses on genome evolution and the evolutionary genetics of early diverging fungal lineages (former phylum Zygomycota s.l.) and he is also expert on the phylogeny of zygomycetous fungi with an emphasis on Entomophthoromycota – a ubiquitous and unique group of saprobes and entomopathogens of a variety of insect hosts.
