Antonio Tomaino

Biography

Dr. Antonio Tomaino received his PhD in Pharmacognosy at University of Messina (Italy) in 1996 and underwent postdoctoral training at University of Messina still in Pharmacognosy during 1997-1999. Currently, he is working as Researcher of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Messina and he is teacher of Chemotherapy and Immunopharmacology, Pharmacoeconomics. Moreover, he is author of more of 40 research articles, most of them about composition and biological activities of medicinal plants and foods. He is a member of the Italian Society of Pharmacology and of the Italian Society of Pharmacognosy.
 

Research Interest

1) Fragrant plants, Utilization of waste derived from food industries; 2) Biological activities and chemical composition of medicinal plants and Mediterranean foods.
