Dr Athanasios Exadactylos (PhD) completed his undergraduate studies (Higher Diploma in Agriculture) in 1993 at the Dept of Agricultural Sciences, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), Hellas. He received his PhD in flatfish population genetics at the University of Liverpool, School of Biological Sciences, Port Erin Marine Lab, Isle of Man (IoM), UΚ in 1997. He holds an academic staff position since 2003 at the Dept of Ichthyology & Aquatic Environment, School of Agricultural Sciences, University of Thessaly (UTh), Hellas. He serves as a referee / certifier for the experts’ database Hellenic Ministry of Education, General Secretariat of Research & Technology, & for the European Commission experts’ database for the 7th Research Framework Program (FP7). He is refereeing on regular basis scientific papers (>50) under potential publication in 16 peer-reviewed scientific journals, & scientific proposals (>30) for research funding grants. He collaborates in >20 research projects & serves as a leader in >5 dealing with aquatic animal & plant genetics.
