Dr. Bardia Amirlak received his surgical training at Creighton University in Nebraska and is Board Certified in General Surgery. He subsequently obtained experience in surgery and physical therapy of the hand and upper extremity at the renowned Kleinart Institute of Hand Surgery in Louisville Kentucky by serving as a hand and microsurgery fellow for one year. He then completed his training at Case Western Reserve University in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has authored numerous research articles and book chapters. Dr. Amirlak is a founding member of the Society of Reconstructive Transplant Surgery. He has addressed many national and international meetings with lectures on head and neck pain management and upper extremity pathologies surgery and rehabilitation protocols. His interest Includes Cosmetic rejuvenation of the face and body; Peripheral Nerve Surgery and management of pain syndromes of the upper extremity and head and neck area such as migraine headaches and nerve compression syndromes, upper extremity physical therapy pertaining to hand and forearm pathologies. He is currently serving as the Assistant Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Hand Surgery at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas Texas.
