Bipradeb Singha Currently I am working as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Cancer Center of The Wistar Institute of Anatomy and Biology, Philadelphia. In 2015, I got my PhD in Biological Sciences from St. John’s University, NY where I have analyzed the mechanisms of transcriptional regulation of pro-inflammatory chemokines in ovarian cancer and determined an effective combination therapy for the treatment of chemotherapy resistant ovarian cancer. Prior to that, I completed my M.S and M.Phil in biology from St. John’s University in 2013 and 2014 respectively. Before I came to the US in 2010 to pursue my graduate studies in biology, I completed my Bachelors in Pharmacy, from West Bengal University of Technology, India. To this date, I have authored 6 papers in different peer reviewed journals along with several national and international posters at several scientific conferences. I have also received the highly competitive doctoral/post doctoral travel award grant from ASBMB (American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) in 2014. Currently I am a member of AAAS (American Association for the Advancement of Sciences).
My research focuses towards the determination of a clinically relevant panel of biomarkers for early detection of ovarian cancer using proteomics and understanding the mechanisms of drug resistance among the different subtypes of ovarian cancer.
