Dr. Breton Barrier is OB/GYN Residency Program Director and Graduate Medical Education Committee Chair at the University of Missouri. He completed Medical School at University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, and OB/GYN residency at University of Missouri. In addition to practicing general obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Barrier is actively involved in clinical and basic science research and graduate medical education. His research interests include placental immunology, maternal immune tolerance, primate models for endometriosis research, immunology of endometriosis, improving obstetrical outcomes and improving the effectiveness and safety of graduate medical education. Dr. Barrier serves as an Advisor for the Endometriosis Association, and is member and past Chair of the Reproductive Immunology Special Interest Group of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
His research interests include placental immunology, maternal immune tolerance, primate models for endometriosis research, immunology of endometriosis, improving obstetrical outcomes and improving the effectiveness and safety of graduate medical education.
