Dr. Brijmohan Singh Bhau is presently working as Senior Scientist at Plant Genomics Laboratory, Medicinal Aromatic & Economic Plant Division of CSIR-Northeast Institute of Science & Technology, Jorhat, Assam India.
He is involved in the area of Plant Biotechnology in different capacities for last 20 years and published many research papers in scientific journals, book chapters, review and general articles. He is still actively involved in the research. His area of research involves plant genetic diversity evaluation using molecular markers and conservation of plants using modern biotechnological tools and techniques. After completing his PhD from Jammu University, he did his post doctorate from Botany Department, Delhi and The Energy & Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi. He joined CSIR-Northeast Institute of Science &Technology, he set up his group in the area of plant genomics. His work has been recognized by conferring him the Dr. YS Murthy Award by Indian Botanical Society. He has visited Bangladesh, China, Italy and United Kingdom in context with his research work.
