Bruce J Trock PhD is Associate Professor in the Departments of Urology Oncology Epidemiology and Environmental Health Sciences at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine He is also Director of the Division of Epidemiology in the Brady Urological Institute and the Director of the Biostatistics Core for the Johns Hopkins Prostate Cancer SPORE Specialized Programs of Research Excellence grant Prior to Johns Hopkins he worked at Georgetown University’s Lombardi Cancer Center at the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia the University of Pennsylvania and the National Cancer Institute He received a BS in Mathematics from the University of Michigan an MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Michigan School of Public Health and a PhD in Epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health His research focuses on etiology biomarkers and clinical outcomes of prostate and breast cancers
Etiologic mechanisms (e.g. oxidative stress, inflammation, environmental exposures). Prognostic biomarkers and predictors of clinical outcomes in prostate and breast cancer. Biological mechanisms of aging, biomarkers of age-related change in the prostate and impact of exposures on such biomarkers. Chemoprevention and the use of surrogate endpoint biomarkers.
