Candice E. Clemenz, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs in the Pamplin College of Business and Assistant Professor of Hospitality and Tourism Management. Since July of 2005, She has served as Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs in the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech. Two years prior she launched a new Hospitality, Recreation, and Resort program at the University of West Florida.she also served for seven years on the faculty in the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Virginia Tech. While teaching at Virginia Tech, Dr. Clemenz received a college Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Student Advising, and a university Certificate of Teaching Excellence. She has twenty years of business experience that ranges from unit to executive-level positions. Her last industry position prior to entering academy was Vice President of Development for ClubCorp International, the world leader in private clubs. In that capacity, she was responsible for developing new clubs and turning around troubled properties. Dr. Clemenz speaks at industry as well as academic conferences, and consults on human resource and/or membership marketing issues within the club industry.
Dr. Clemenz research interests include human resources/training, marketing, and issues related to private clubs.
