Dr. Sabourin has received her PhD in Biology-specialization from University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1991.Currently, she is working as a Associate Professor at Battelle and Chief Scientist for Biomedical Research in the Battelle Life Science Research Global Business. She is also a Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, School of Medicine, at Wright State University, where she lectures on medical chemical defense. She is a member of the Society of Toxicology, American Society for Microbiology, American College of Toxicology, and American Association for Cancer Research. Dr. Sabourin has 60 peer-reviewed publications, 2 book chapters (peer reviewed), more than 120 abstracts and reports, and numerous keynote and invited oral and poster presentations at international meetings. She has authored several research articles/books. She has been honored as Outstanding Woman in Technology Nominee, TechColumbus Innovation Awards, 2012.
Her research focuses on the identification of biomarkers for chemical and biological agents, host immune responses for infectious diseases, and vaccine for biological agents and influenza.
