C. Corrado is an assistant professor of Biology and Genetics at school of Medicine, University of Palermo (Italy). She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological sciences and her Ph. D. degree in Immunopharmacology from University of Palermo. She has done a National Project for the Research in Oncology from University of Siena (Italy); a 2–years fellow from the University of Firenze (Italy) and later a fellow of the Italian Association for Cancer Research at University of Palermo (Italy). Chiara Corrado has contributed to more than 40 abstracts in national and international congresses and many research papers.
Dr. Chiara Corrado has a good expertise in cellular, molecular biology and transduction signalling. After many years of research on colon cancer and on pharmacological resistance and new antineoplastic agents in treatment of CML, she worked on the role of stromal cells and exosomes on leukemia microenvironment. She is now working on the role of exosomes in Lung cancer and on multiple Myeoloma.
