Chunyang Cao got his Ph.D. degree in Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in summer of 2001. In Sept. 2001, he began to work in prof. James Stivers’ Lab in Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine as a postdoc fellow. In Oct, 2005, he moved to Prof. Roland Riek’s lab, working as a research associate. He started to setup his own lab in Sept, 2006. By using NMR, X-ray and other biochemical or chemical assays, he focuses his researches on the structural mechanism of how non-neuron gene expression is activated or repressed, of how DNA backbone P-O was replaced as P-S, and of other unique epigenetic questions related to cancers generation.
Health and diseases directed chemical biology and structure biology by NMR, X-ray and other assays
