Dr. Chan received his PhD from Monash University, Australia in 2002. He completed postgraduate training in molecular oncology in Peter MacCallum Cancer Institute at Melbourne and in Department of Pathology, the University of Hong Kong from 2002 to 2005. He currently works in Department of Obs. & Gyn, the University of Hong Kong as a Research Assistant Professor. His main research interests include functional characterization of tumor suppressors and oncogenes and delineation of the related cellular signaling pathways which contribute to the tumorigenesis of gynaecological malignancies. He has particular interest in ERK, Hedgehog and Wnt/-catenin signaling pathways as well as related miRNAs in the development of chemo-resistance and metastasis in ovarian cancers.
