Dongsheng Cai is an assistant professor of physiology at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health.

Research Interest

Dongsheng Cai investigating how intracellular stress and pro-inflammatory pathways in the nervous system are involved in the neural/neuroendocrine mechanisms of various nutritional diseases (obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases) and aging-related diseases (eg, neurodegenerative diseases).and the interactions between pro-inflammatory signaling cascades and neuronal regulatory network that underlie the development of obesity, anorexia, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and aging-related disorders.
