Dr. Dongsheng Yang is an assistant professor of Ophthalmology in the University of Pittsburgh, Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. He has authored about 40 research articles and two book chapters. Dr. Dongsheng Yang has received his MD in Qingdao University in 1992 and PhD (major in vision science) in the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1997.
Dr. Yang’s research is focusing on eye movements and their relation to visual function, such as vergence eye movements in stereo-blinded subjects with strabismus. Other areas of research include treatments of oculomotor disorders and functional evaluation of surgical treatments of oculomotor disorders, such as congenital nystagmus and strabismus
