Dr. Douglas H. Ubelaker is a Past President of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and a Fellow in the Physical Anthropology section. He received his PhD degree in 1973 from the University of Kansas and currently is a curator and senior scientist at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C. He has published extensively in the general field of human skeletal biology with an emphasis on forensic applications.
