Biography

Teaching experience at post graduate level as permanent Faculty in Marine Science (1998 – till date), as Guest Faculty in Environmental Science (during 2006), M.Phil programme in Fishery Technology (2005 – 2009) under University of Calcutta and Conservation Biology (2007 – 2008) in Durgapur Govt. College under University of Burdwan. Also served as Counsellor (during 2009-10) in Environmental Science programme under Directorate of Open & Distance Learning, University of Kalyani, West Bengal Served as a Visiting Faculty in the Department of Biodiversity and Conservation of Natural Resources at Central University of Orissa, Koraput during 2012.

Research Interest

Biodiversity conservation with special reference to Mangrove ecosystem, Pollution monitoring and Instrumentation in relation to Oceanography, Sustainable rural livelihood (in fishery sector), Fish nutrition and sustainable aquaculture, Carbon mapping of soil and coastal vegetation
