Edmond Dik Lung

Biography

Dr. Dik-Lung Ma was born 1976 in Hong Kong and graduated from University of Hong Kong with a B.Sc. in Chemistry in 1999. He completed his Ph.D. in 2004 at the same university under the supervision of Prof. Chi-Ming Che. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Prof. Kwok-Yin Wong’s group in the years of 2005-2008. He also served as a visiting scientist under the guidance of Prof. Ruben Abagyan at Scripps Research Institute during his postdoctoral appointment. Dr. Ma was appointed Research Assistant Professor at Prof. Che’s group during the years of 2008-2010. He was also appointed Honorary Assistant Professor at University of Hong Kong in 2009. Since 2010, he has been the Assistant Professor at Hong Kong Baptist University.

Research Interest

Dr. Ma has a board research interests in computer assisted drug discovery and design. His researches are centered on computational structural biology, computer assisted natural product drug discovery, and structural-based drug design and chemical modification of lead compounds.
