Dr. Edward Y. Lee is an Assistant Professor of radiology at the Harvard Medical School, Mass, USA and the Childrens Hospital Boston, Mass, USA. He is currently a Chief of Thoracic Imaging Division. He received his A.B. and M.D. degrees from the University of Chicago, Ill, USA and his M.P.H. degree from the Harvard University, Mass, USA, followed by an internship at Harvard Medical Center (BIDMC/BWH/DFCI) and radiology residency at Mallincrodt Institute of Radiology/Washington University Medical Center. Lee, as a Chief Fellow, also completed a pediatric radiology fellowship at the Childrens Hospital Boston. The overarching goal of his academic career has been the application of non-invasive imaging modalities to improve the clinical care of pediatric patients with a variety of thoracic anomalies and abnormalities. In addition, Lee was awarded research grants from the Society for Pediatric Radiology (SPR), Association of University Radiologists and GE Health Care (GERRAF), and the Society of Thoracic Radiology (STR).
Dr. Edward Y. Lee research interest include primary research activities have focused upon the development and application of advanced CT and MRI imaging methods, aimed at improving diagnostic capabilities, therapeutic options and patient outcomes in children with various anomalies and abnormalities of the large airways, lungs and mediastinal vessels.
