Elisa Moncarz

Biography

Elisa Moncarz is a Emeritus Professor in the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management of Florida International University. A recipient of awards for excellence in teaching and research, Professor Moncarz co-authored seven books and book chapters and published numerous articles in leading academic journals, including the Cornell Hospitality Quarterly, the International Journal of Hospitality Management, the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management and the Hospitality Review. She ranked among the most prolific researchers in the hospitality field based on studies published in the Hospitality Research Journal and the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Education. She was the 2009 CHRIE recipient of the “Article of the Year Award” for a manuscript published in the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Education. A CPA in New York and Florida, she has extensive financial management and SEC experience with international firms in New York and Florida.
