Prof. Esam Ahmed Abd El-Gawad has received his PhD in Petroleum Geochemistry and Geology, Technical University of Berlin / Al-Azhar University, Cairo during the period of 1988-1992. Currently, he is working as Professor in Department of Geology, College of Science, UAE University. He /she is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like Journal of Petroleum Geology. He has authored 49 research articles/books. He is a member of American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), European Association for Geologists and Engineers (EAGE), Member of the editorial board of the international journal of energy exploration and exploitation, UK, Egypt Petroleum Exploration Society (EPEX), Egyptian Geophysical Society, Geological Society of Egypt, Egyptian Society of Sedimentology. He was honoured with award for the best research project in the College of Science for the academic year 2001/2002, UAE University, UAE.
