Biography

Dr. Maciel has a PhD in Public Health with special focus in Epidemiology at University of the State of Rio de Janeiro and Post doctorate in Epidemiology at Johns Hopkins University. She is an associate professor at Federal University of Espirito Santo (UFES) and fellow of the CNPq Research Productivity in Epidemiology. Currently she is a vice- coordinator of the Graduate Program in Public Health at UFES. Also, she is the coordinator of Quality Management and Health Technology Incorporation of the Brazilian Research Network on Tuberculosis (REDE-TB). Her activities are in the field of Public Health with emphasis in Epidemiology, mainly in the following areas: infectious disease epidemiology, epidemiologic methods, epidemiology and control of tuberculosis and Biosafety.
