Faqian Li

Biography

Faqian Li is a Surgical Pathologist at Strong Memorial Hospital and an Assistant Professor at Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of Rochester Medical Center. He received a Bachelor in Medicine from the Wuhan University School of Medicine in 1978 and a PhD in Philosophy from the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, SD in 1996. He has published more than 20 peer reviewed research articles and was one of the five finalists for the Young Investigator Awards of Heart Failure Society of America in 2000. He is serving as reviewer of 9 journals.

Research Interest

Cardiac morphogenesis and congenital heart diseases.Intercalated disks, integrins, and cardiac mechanical signal transduction.
