Dr. Fotini N. Lamari is Assistant Professor of Pharmacognosy at the University of Patras, Greece. In 1996 she got her Degree and in 2000 her Ph.D. from the Department of Chemistry, of the University of Patras. During 1997-1998, she was a research fellow at the Division of Pathology, Department of Immunology, Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, Karolinska Institute, Sweden. In 2003, she was appointed as a Lecturer at the Department of Pharmacy of the University of Patras, and since 2009 she serves as an Assistant Professor. She has received scholarships from the Hellenic State Scholarshipsfoundation, the Swedish Institute and DAAD. In 2011, she got the national LOreal-Unesco award "for Women in Science" for her path in Biosciences. Dr. Lamari has co-authored 56 publications in scientific journals with peer review system and 7 chapters in international scientific books. She is an active member of the Association of the Greek Chemists, the Hellenic Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, the Hellenic Research Club for Connective Tissue and Matrix Biology, European Peptide Society and the Society for Medicinal Plant Research (GA).
