George Kroumpouzos

Biography

Dr. Kroumpouzos is Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Brown Medical School and has served on the Faculty at Harvard Medical School. He graduated from the Athens University School of Medicine where he also completed a PhD in immunology. He then pursued research fellowships in immunology and molecular biology at the Department of Dermatology. The Free University of Berlin National Cancer Institute NIH and Department of Dermatology New York University prior to starting dermatology residency training at Boston and Tufts Universities. He is double board certified in dermatology in the US and EU and is a fellow of numerous dermatological and other societies. Dr. Kroumpouzos is on the Editorial Board of reputed dermatology journals and has served as a reviewer for 7 journals. He has authored more than 40 articles and book chapters. He has been honored by several societies including the New England Dermatological Society and European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology and has been the recipient of several awards including the Yamagiwa Yoshida and ICRETT awards by the International Union Against Cancer.
