Dr. Gil Yosipovitch is a Professor of Dermatology Neurobiology and Anatomy and Regenerative Medicine and member of the Cancer Center and Center for Itegrative Medicine at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He is director of the Skin Physiology Lab at the department of Dermatology and Director of the International Fellowship Program. Dr. Yosipovitch`s major clinical interest is skin in systemic disease pruritus and his research studies.
Focus on neurophysiology of itch, pharmacology of anti-pruritics, and studying skin physiology using skin bioengineering techniques. He has published more than 200 articles in books and peer reviewed journals. He is the founder and past president of the International Forum for The study of Itch (IFSI), which is a multidisciplinary international association of clinicians and researchers dedicated to improving our understanding of itch.
