Prof . Brandi is author of over 80 scientific paper ( IF>380) and 3 scientific books; his main areas of interest include the study of cellular proliferation of the mucosa of the GI tract and the investigation of the role of bacterial microflora in gastrointestinal carcinogenesis, antineoplastic-drug-mediated toxicity and immune system development . As for clinical research, Prof. Brandi concentrates on liver metastases from colorectal cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, on cholangiocarcinoma, pancreatic cancer and GIST . In these fields he has conducted basic research on the process of carcinogenesis, metastasis and molecular clinical characteristics on the CC and HCC and PK. As for clinical practice, Prof. Brandi is in charge of the oncologic day Hospital of the Institute of Haematology and Medical Oncology “L. & A. Seragnoli”.
