Gopikrishna Deshpande

Dr. Gopikrishna Deshpande is currently a faculty at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Auburn University and leads the functional neuroimaging activities at AU MRI research center. Previously, he was a research faculty at the Biomedical Imaging Technology Center affiliated to the Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University. He received his Bachelor of Technology from National Institute of Technology, Warangal, India in 2001 and Master of Science from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India, in 2003, both in Electrical Communication Engineering, before moving to USA for doctoral studies. In the US, he received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2007. Dr.Deshpande’s research focus includes the investigation of brain connectivity, simultaneous EEG/fMRI and brain state classification in health and disease.
