Biography

Dr. Lesinski is an Assistant Professor in The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology at The Ohio State University. Dr. Lesinski’s research is focused on gaining a greater understanding of the interactions between the host immune system and tumor cells with a focus on signal transduction. The ultimate goal is to use this knowledge to develop novel therapeutic or chemo-preventative approaches to help patients with cancer, and improve upon existing therapies. Dr. Lesinski received his Ph.D. in 2001 from The Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, OH and completed a post-doctoral fellowship under the direction of Dr. William E. Carson, III at The Ohio State University from 2001 to 2005. Dr. Lesinski holds Professional memberships through The American Association for Cancer Research. The Society for Biologic Therapy of Cancer and The Society for Melanoma Research. Dr. Lesinski has received funding from the National Institutes of Health, and Research Awards from The Melanoma Research Foundation, The Valvano Foundation for Cancer Research and The Harry J. Lloyd Charitable Trust.

Research Interest
