Dr. Heng Hong graduated from Shanghai Medical University in 1982 and received Ph D degree in biochemistry in University of Southern California in 1996. After finishing pathology residency and fellowship training in Indian University and Duke University, he became an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine in Brody School of Medicine in East Carolina University in 2005. Dr. Hong is currently the director of Cytopathology Fellowship Program in East Carolina University.
Dr. Hong’s previous and current research interests include transcriptional coactivators of nuclear receptors and their biological rules in the pathogenesis of hormone-related cancers, such as prostate cancer and breast cancer.
