Dr. Hua Wang received his degrees of bachelor (2003) and master (2006) in chemistry from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. He completed his Ph.D. study in chemistry from Case Western Reserve University in 2014, under the supervision of professor Robert G. Salomon. His dissertation research focused on using LC-MS methods, along with organic synthesis of authentic standards, to study oxidized phospholipids and their metabolites in biological systems. He is currently a research chemist at WIL Research Laboratories, a private contract research organization company in Ashland, OH. Prior to joining WIL Research, he was a research scientist (2014-2015) in Genzyme Corporation, Framingham, MA. His job duties in WIL and Genzyme are developing LC-MS/MS assays for quantification of therapeutic proteins as well as small drug molecules in various biological matrices.
LC-MS for therapeutic proteins, peptides and small molecules analysis. Bottom-up, top-down and intact protein quantitation/qualification analysis by mass spectrometry. Reverse phase and HILIC chromatographic separation techniques.
