Dr. Huailei Jiang is currently an assistant professor and research associate in Department of Radiology, Mayo Clinic. Dr. Jiang obtained his Ph.D in medicinal chemistry at the Guangzhou Institutes of Biomedicine and Health Institute of Chemical Biology in the Chinese Academy of Science. Dr. Jiang performed his postdoctoral training in the Molecular Imaging Program at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Jiang has authored 13 academic articles in highly ranked journals in the field of Medicinal Chemistry and Nuclear Medicine, such as the Journal of Nuclear Medicine, Theranostic, Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry, and European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Research. Dr. Jiang has served as a reviewer on behalf of 9 academic journals, such as the European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry, and European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Research. Dr. Jiang has been an active member of Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) and Society of Radiopharmaceutical Sciences (SRS) over the past a few years.
Dr Jiang has specific interests in molecular imaging to monitor the progress and treatment of disease. His research focuses on the development of receptor ligands and metabolizable small molecule radiotracers for cancer, neuronal and cardiovascular imaging using positron emission tomography (PET), including development of novel radiotracers, radiochemistry and radiopharmacology.
