Hyun Young Jeong is Assistant Professor of Pharmacokinetics in the Department of Pharmacy, Practice and Biopharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She received BS degree in Pharmacy from Seoul National University and PharmD/PhD from University of Illinois at Chicago. Her research interests are in 1.The altered pharmacokinetics of drugs in pregnant women 2. Regulation of hepatic drug metabolism and 3. Role of pharmacokinetics in preclinical drug development. Currently she is investigating the effects of pregnancy hormones on expression of cytochrome P450 enzymes and involvement of nuclear receptors in hormonal regulation of drug metabolizing enzymes.
