Biography

Dr. Igor Dolgov earned a Bachelor of Science and Engineering in Computer Science from Princeton University, with a certificate in Intelligent Systems and Robotics. He continued his education at Arizona State University where he attained a Ph.D. via the Nation Science Foundation’s Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship Program, as part of the Department of Psychology and the School of Arts, Media, and Engineering. Dr. Dolgov joined the faculty of New Mexico University in 2009 and leads the Perception, Action, and Cognition, in Mediated, Artificial, and Natural Environments (PACMANe) laboratory. His transdisciplinary FAA-, NSF-, and NASA-funded research is centered on human systems engineering, human-machine interaction, and the human factors of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). He serves as Chair of the Aerospace Systems Technical Group for the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) and is a core member of the Alliance for System Safety of UAS through Research Excellence (ASSURE).
