Dr. Mitroka earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Michigan State University, and a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Rutgers University. Prior to joining PBA, he worked for Bristol-Myers Squibb as a research group leader and conducted studies to determine the metabolic fate of experimental drugs. Jim’s experience includes studies involving stable and radioactive isotopes both in vivo and in vitro. Jim left in 2008 BMS to begin teaching at the Palm Beach Atlantic Gregory School of Pharmacy. He teaches medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, and pharmacogenomics. Jim’s research interest includes the use of biomarkers to evaluate the impact of behavioral interventions and natural products on health and disease.
